Taylor: Maternity

I met this mamma-to-be on a cool, cloudy summer morning. I was happy to capture the love between these two as they are expecting their first child together, a little girl. It is so wonderful to be able capture a family just before it is about to change. Congratulations to Taylor & Dave and their growing family!

Brenna + Ralph Wedding

I love smaller weddings. When the focus is on the bride and groom's love for each other.

Brenna and Ralph's intimate wedding was held on a gorgeous summer day, but pulled Autumn vibes in their gold/maroon theme and DIY décor.

Paying tribute to family was very important to Brenna and Ralph. They incorporated the color red in remembrance of their deceased family members, along with a memorial table. Red is Ralph's favorite, and many of their passed loved one's as well. Brenna also wore vintage jewelry that belonged to her grandmother.

Later on at the reception, Brenna's grandfather's band performed. They created beautiful memories as Brenna's mother sang while she shared her first dance with her father.  They had homemade bread loaves on each table which read "Just tied the knot" in reference to Ralph's love of baking. Brenna made all of the bouquets herself, and even the cake!

"We also had all of the food prepared by family members, which I know is a lot of work. But to us, it gave everybody an important role in the wedding and our food was made with love. A lot of things in the wedding were homemade," said Brenna.

Here is a small gallery of my favorite images from their wedding:

Ceremony: Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mt. Pleasant
Reception: New Stanton VFD
Bride/MOB hair: Val at A Little Off the Top Salon, Connellsville
Bridal Gown: Boundless Fascination Lace Dress from ModCloth
Band: Moyer Camp Cats

February Wedding: Savanna + Billy

This month I had the honor of photographing one of my best childhood friend's wedding to the love of her life. Savanna and Billy are high school sweethearts; complete opposites yet completely perfect for each other. They planned their wedding to have in the middle of February and were surprised with a gorgeous sunny day.

I met Savanna at Hotel Monaco to photograph her getting ready with her bridesmaids. When the girls gave her hand-written letters to read, there wasn't a dry eye in the room. They hung out in their custom silk robes, soaking up the special moment together while sipping mimosas and laughing.

A church ceremony followed with the bridal party photos in the heart of Oakmont. The reception took place at the Harmar House, where the guests enjoyed the party so much, it lasted late into the night.  More details from this romantic wedding day below in the photos!

Fresh 48: Introducing Landon

When one of your childhood friends becomes a mother, her child automatically has a special place in your heart. Landon was born on what was predicted to be my son's due date,  so they already have a special friendship.  I was so happy I was able to visit them in the hospital, and was able to sneak in some quick photos.
